Slushy Guts is the continually evolving idea of London based artist Steve Keane, also known for his Illustration and screen printing work under the name Chaos Vs Cosmos. Unhampered by genre, at once singled minded yet free to wander where it may, Slushy Guts exists by itself, slowly, quietly, spaciously skewed and scattered.

Since 2009 Slushy Guts has self released a slew of limited tapes, cdrs and records, as well as a screenprinted book of his artwork, which he creates under the name Chaos vs Cosmos.

Made using the same broken tape recorders, junk store amps and cheapo microphones as on previous efforts,
Slushy Guts new album retains the familiar no-fidelety hiss crackle and clunk, but this time around SG has seemingly figured out his equipment a little better, resulting in a more textured disjointed-ness. Cranky yet somehow soothing electronic samples blend with layered acoustic and electric guitar, buzzing casio keyboards
and blown out percussion, to create a confusing yet (or perhaps therefore) awkwardly human narrative of scattered
clarity.

The songs themselves reinforce this confused clarity, jumping between folk, country, rock, noise and everything
in between, whilst never seeming random and somehow still making a weird kind of sense.
